Q: I perform locates as one of my duties but not on a daily basis. Am I eligible?
A: No unfortunately you are not eligible. We are targeting people who perform underground utility locates as the primary function of their job.
Q: Which companies are eligible to participate?
A: Companies that are members of the Utilities Protection Center or associated (receiver) companies will be eligible to participate.
Q: How do I nominate an employee?
A: After your company is registered, your designated nominator will access the employee nomination form. Complete this form at our web site and your nomination is logged into the database.

Q: How are the awards distributed?
A: The awards for the Bronze and Silver Levels may be picked up at the UPC or shipped to the winners’ companies. The Platinum and Gold Level awards will be presented at the Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council (GUCC) conference in Dillard, Georgia, held annually in October.

A: You will receive a pin indicating your level of achievement and various other items, all bearing the Locate Excellence Logo.
