Two words: top performance. In utilities locating, better performance means better safety, and that is the only criterion that counts. Liable damages - Zero liable damages during the rating period. A liable damage is defined as a damage due to an error or omission by the locate technician. This will be determined by the individual company and/or utility owner operator. Attendance - Zero unexcused absences during the rating period. Pre-approved leave time is not considered an unexcused absence. Safety - Zero safety violations during the rating period. Examples are driving infractions and internal safety violations. Each company should use their discretion in this area.
